Life in 2008

It was indeed a roller coaster ride...But it was an eventful year for me.. I got my own house.. i bought my own car.. and yeah [thankgod me and Raks agreed on the same model :) ].It was indeed a year of achievments as well. Goals, deadlines, and what not...It was a wierd year as well. My job being greatly in sync with the Financial sector saw a huge impact in business. From high flying to down to the earth situations. No one to be blamed. We all are watching the recession come by and settle in deep within us. Though the positive side to the story is: we get to see live hand what its like to live in an economy thats receding and having no certainity. Look at how many banks have disappeared. Many names that we have been hearing since many years have become entities with no identity. Sometimes i cant help but laugh out loud at the news we hear daily these days. Nothing seems to be safe. Even the milk given to infants had been adulterated. Look at the story of the petroleum prices. It reach a record high of $100 per barrel to below $40 per barrel. The terrorist attacks at Mumbai, killing a Singaporean. Barrack Obama becomes the fist African American to be elected as the President of United States. Singapore clinched on to its first OLympic Medal (silver) in 48 years.India gets her first indvidual Olympic Gold medal. The discovery of frozen water in Mars..
